Even as violence spread to Patel-dominated Saurashtra, the ceramic town of Morbi was one of the worst-hit by the unrest since Tuesday night. Patidar members coming out on streets and damaged public properties and attacking police personnel.
State transport buses, police and government vehicles were prime targets of the mobs.
At least 32 state transport buses were set afire in Morbi district after mobs entered the state transport depot workshop. About 12 buses were damaged and their windows smashed.
