Girl, 3, raped by youth in Chhattisgarh village

A three-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by a youth in a Chhattisgarh village, the police said on Thursday. The incident took place in Buta Kosa village under Ambagarh police station in Rajnandgaon district on Thursday, the investigating officer said. According to the FIR lodged in connection with the incident, the accused, Balesh Kumar, 21, hailing from village of Dhudhutola, took the kid of his village for an outing.
He then took her to a deserted place in the neighbouring village of Buta Kosa and alleged raped her. Later, the minor’s parents found her in an injured condition. They immediately reported the matter to the police, the investigating officer said. “We have registered a case against the accused under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and protection of children under sexual offences Act, 2012”, the investigating officer said. However, the accused, Balesh Kumar, has been absconding.
