The Bajrang Dal has decided to offer legal and financial assistance to the accused in the Dadri lynching case.
Sources in the Bajrang Dal confirmed that plans are afoot to provide assistance to the accused men but the outfit will not officially announce this since it would be misconstrued and used to advantage by “secular” forces.
According to a district coordinator of the Bajrang Dal from western UP, the activists in a small group will try to reach Bishada village in Dadri and meet the family members of the accused persons.
“We will provide the accused legal and financial help and any other assistance that their families may need. In fact, we will almost adopt and take care of the families until the accused are back home,” said the coordinator.
Meerut region coordinator of Bajrang Dal Balraj Dungar confirmed that they are ready to provide legal or monetary aid to the family members but added that this would only be after meeting the jailed accused and confirming that they were innocent.
