A 42-year-old man died and over 20 persons were injured -one of them critically -in a clash between members of two communities in UP’s Kannauj district. The police booked 12 persons for inciting the mob on Sunday .
The clash was the fallout of an incident where a mob attacked a shop owner, Imran (70), in the Sadar Bazaar area of the district. He’d gone to negotiate the handing over of his shop by one Satish Chandra Gupta, who had rented it for over 50 years.
