The father of a 14-year-old teen approached Paldi police station on Wednesday, to register a case against a class coordinator and a teenager for harassing his son sexually and calling him `gay.’ Police registered a complaint against the duo and have started investigations.
According to Paldi police, the Bhudarpura resident alleged in his complaint that his son Gaurav (name changed), 14, goes to English Expert classes at Mangaldeep Complex on Dharnidhar Derasar Road for the last few months. As he stopped attending classes at the end of December, they tried to talk to him about any issue.
“Gaurav broke down and told his father that the class coordinator Bhavesh Mandwar and a fellow student, in his teens, were harassing him for the last two months, calling him `gay’. When he didn’t heed it, on December 24, they forcibly took him to a computer room, removed his trousers and marked his private parts with a pen and clicked a few photos. They repeated this act on December 26,“ said a Paldi police official.
Police said the complaint mentions a threat by the duo to beat Gaurav up if he spoke about the incident. The parents first approached Childline over the issue where they were directed to the police. “We are yet to record statements of the accused in the case. Further investigation is on,“ said a Paldi police official.
